Disaster for travel intermediation industry

Travel intermediation industry, including travel agencies and tour operators, have suffered perhaps most of the pandemic and various lock-downs of both tourism generating areas and destinations. In Finland, the sales of the industry has dropped more than 90% from the pre-pandemic time. However, it seems that at the moment the sales of the coming summer and winter season is doing very well. People have already booked trips for their summer holidays to Spain, Greece and Turkey, but the main question is if it will be possible to travel already in the summer. For the winter season 2021-22, Thailand is more or less sold out. The first group of Finnish tourists will fly to Israel already in April. The virus situation is getting now much better there due the intensive vaccination campaign in the country. Unfortunately, the vaccination process in Finland is delayed like in most of the other EU countries. However, Finland's aim is to vaccine 70% of the population by the end of June. To reach the aim, we need more vaccines and faster to be able to travel again.
